Brenden D. Long

Education
Mr. Long graduated from Duquesne University School of Law in 2005. While at Duquesne, he was a member of the Duquesne Law Review. Also a published author, his articles can be found in the Duquesne Law Review volume 42 (2004) and Pennsylvania Family Lawyer volume 26, issue numbers 2 and 3 (September 2004). Along with his studies, Mr. Long was also a research assistant for Professor Kirk W. Junker, who published his research in the Loyola University Chicago International Law Review volume 2, issue 1 (Fall/Winter 2004-2005).

Prior to law school, Mr. Long attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, earning a degree in accounting and finance. While in school, he was a member of the Student Accounting Organization, the Committee for Student Accounting Day Forum, and was a Charter Member of the UPJ Chapter of Institute of Management Accountants. He also worked as an intern at Snyder of Berlin. In his free time, Mr. Long was a 4-year letterman on the Division II soccer team at UPJ.

Experience
Mr. Long has experience in a wide variety of legal services, all the better to help you with your legal needs. While attending Duquesne Law School, Mr. Long was a summer intern with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in Pittsburgh, PA. In addition, he was a law clerk for Paul M. Daniels and Associates, in Pittsburgh, PA, where he assisted the attorneys in the areas of wills and estates, family law, and bankruptcy. In 2006, he accepted a law clerk position for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Kanawha County, WV, which allowed him to see all the areas of law in the West Virginia state court system. Prior to starting the Long Law Offices, PLLC, Mr. Long was an assistant prosecutor in Kanawha County, WV. As an assistant prosecutor, Mr. Long received special advocacy and trial training at the National Advocacy Center (NAC) in South Carolina and through the National District Attorneys Association (NDAA). Mr. Long has also received extensive DUI training from the West Virginia Prosecuting Attorneys Institute.
Family
Growing up in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, Mr. Long enjoyed playing sports, exploring the the great outdoors with his father, and spending time with his family and friends. Shortly after moving to Charleston, he met his wife, Ilse, at Bible Center Church. Ilse is currently a public school teacher in the West Virginia Public School system. They currently reside in the Charleston area.
Associations
Mr. Long is a member of the West Virginia Bar Association and the Judge John A. Field, Jr. American Inn of Court. He has also been admitted to both the West Virginia Bar and the Pennsylvania Bar.
